[Male Lead Vocal] [Verse 1] Somebody carried a flame through the darkness Somebody stood when the night was long Somebody opened the pages of mercy And showed this weary heart where it belonged I still remember the ones who loved me Enough to share what they had found They never knew how far their light would travel But look where it is now [Pre-Chorus] A single light can change a journey For someone lost along the way [Chorus] I didn't light this flame, but I will keep it burning Through the darkest night until the morning comes Someone held it high so I could find my way (Group Harmony) Now I'm a keeper of the light [Verse 2] There's a world that's searching for direction Trying to find a hope that will remain And I may never reach a thousand people But I might help a single soul today If one more heart can find some comfort If one more life can see the truth Then every step and every prayer is worth it That's what this light can do [Pre-Chorus] A single light can change a journey For someone lost along the way [Chorus] I didn't light this flame, but I will keep it burning Through the darkest night until the morning comes Someone held it high so I could find my way (Group Harmony) Now I'm a keeper of the light [Bridge] This light was never mine to hide It was given so that I could shine And if the road ahead seems dark I'll lift it high and do my part [Final Chorus] I didn't light this flame, but I will keep it burning Through the darkest night until the morning comes Someone held it high so I could find my way (Group Harmony) Now I'm a keeper of the light (Female Harmony) Keeper of the light... (Group Harmony) Now I'm a keeper of the light
