It is a see saw ride My friend You are down on the ground I am up in the wind Playground love I remember when Childhood laughter Came time and time again It is a merry go round In the park We spin in circles Your dog starts to bark All this playground love I remember when I never imagined This ride would ever end It is curved silver bars Rusty and tall You are hanging upside down Watching me kick a ball Playground love I remember when Dreams of where we were going Not where we’ve been It is a line of swings Stretching into the sky You are starting to push I am waiting to fly Playground love I remember when How forever must have felt To both of us then Playground love I remember when Growing up was just A kid’s game of pretend
