[Verse] Oh the dentist said sit down my dear Gonna fix that tooth you've had for a year He grabbed his tools with a glint in his eye I swear I saw my whole life flash by [Chorus] Oh it’s the root canal rag don’t you fret You’ll feel better soon but not just yet With a drill and a buzz and a numbing spray I’m dancing through the pain in a tooth ballet [Verse 2] He leaned in close with a mask on tight Said open wide and hold on to your fright I heard a whirr then a clink and a clack Thought I might never get my jaw back [Chorus] Oh it’s the root canal rag don’t you fret You’ll feel better soon but not just yet With a drill and a buzz and a numbing spray I’m dancing through the pain in a tooth ballet [Bridge] The assistant handed me a little spit tray I drooled like a fool but what could I say The bright light above was my new best friend Counting ceiling tiles till the ordeal would end [Verse 3] When it was done he gave me a grin Said you're free to chew on both sides again My face half numb but my heart full of cheer I’ll take a root canal over tooth pain my dear
