I know I often say that about people I collaborate with, but I always mean it deeply. And donโt even get me started on our epic Baldurโs Gate 3 adventures! (Even though I havenโt had much time to play lately, sorry ๐ฑ) This track was a battle of creative wills, we both had strong visions, and it wasnโt always easy, but it was worth it. Iโm absolutely in love with what we created. Just as much as I'm in love with the wild, free, and fierce creative spirit of my dear Ziratia. During the process, we realized how different we are... but also how deeply we connect, like two rivals on the same mission. Honestly, I had so much fun ๐ Thank u for everything, Iโm truly grateful to have met u ๐ฅฐ๐ฆ๐๏ธ๐ ============================โ๏ธ ๐ถ About the song: We share a lot of similar musical tastes, and we used Jet-Lag by Simple Plan as a loose base before taking it in a completely new, original direction that reflects us both. We started with the idea of time zones and how long-distance relationships get twisted by the passing of time, but... I may have gone a bit too deep into the existential despair part ๐ Luckily, he was there to balance it all out ๐ ๐ I embody the emo-goth girl whoโs had enough, stuck in a life and world that doesnโt suit her, trapped by silence and guilt, and slowly breaking under the weight of distanceโฆ ๐ฅ And he plays the punk boy, fierce and full of rebellion, who wants to save her, no matter what it takes, because he canโt stand to see her like this anymore. I wanted to bring an emogothmetal twist to my character, with a hint of trip-hop for that lost existential vibe, violin, deep textures, haunting vocalizationsโฆ And of course, guitar and drums that strike deep in a mix of emo, gothic and punk fusion. We really have a 6-hour time difference in real life, so the theme came naturallyโฆ but it was definitely a challenge too ๐ Anyway! Enough talking!
