[Verse 1] Enlil kalam-ma nam-ti-la, šeg₆-ga nam-lugal-la, zi-da u₄-ma sag-šè, me kalam-ma, lugal kur-kur-ra. (Translation: “Enlil, breath of the land of life, / Whisper of kingship, / Pure wind from the head of time, / Divine order of the world, lord of all lands.”) [Chant 1] Šà zi-zi, Enlil me-lám, u₄ nam-tar, gišimmar-gin₇, šeg₆ šeš-ga, e₂-du₃ kalam-ma, ki-sikil du₆-ga zi šu du₁₀. (Translation: “O trembling heart, Enlil the shining, / Fate-day like a fig tree, / Whisper of brotherhood, temple of the land, / Sacred breath held in gentle hand.”) [Verse 2] Enlil lugal an-šàr-ra, me-zi šu kalam-ma, ed-u₄ me-lám ma-ra-an-ti, mu-lugal a-ra zi-ga. (Translation: “Enlil, king of the eternal sky, / Giver of order to the world, / He brings radiant days, / His name rises like fire.”) [Chant 2] An šub-ba, Enlil kur-ra, ki-ma šeg₆ u₄-bi-da, nam-ti la-ba-an-gar-ra, zi kalam-ma lugal e₂. (Translation: “Heaven pours, Enlil of the mountain, / Like a whisper on its appointed day, / Where life is not placed, / He is the soul, lord of the temple.”) [Verse 3] Gu₄ an-na, Enlil za-gin₃, u₄-ta zi šu-mu-un-dé, zi an ki e₃-a, gu₇ ku₆-meš, giš-ur₅ sag an-na, e₂ me du₁₀. (Translation: “Bull of heaven, Enlil the blue-stone, / From the storm he sends his breath, / The soul descends from heaven to earth, / He devours chaos, he builds the temple of order.”) [Chant 3] Šeg₆ zi šà ga-an-sig₁₀, Enlil gu₄ e₂ ki-an-na, dug₄-ga i₃-me me lugal, gišbar šà-ga mu un-da-an-sum. (Translation: “Whisper soul, we breathe you, / Enlil, bull of the house of heaven and earth, / The sweet oil of the king’s word, / He delivers the pattern written on our hearts.”)
