The Cost of Lawless Borders, The Litany of the Fallen... by dragonkinght6912947

[Verse 1]
The evening bells are tolling for the lives that should remain,
A heavy fog of sorrow for the blood and for the stain.
Laken Riley and Jocelyn Nungaray, we lift your names in prayer,
May you find the peace and comfort in the light of heaven’s care.
For Dacara Thompson and Rachel Morin, lead them home,
To a land of perfect safety where the wicked cannot roam.
[Chorus]
Eternal rest grant unto them, and let the light shine down,
For the innocent and beautiful who lost their earthly crown.
We pray for the repose of every soul that’s gone away,
While we fight to find the justice in the dawning of the day.
Protect this weary nation and the people in this place,
As we ask for mercy's blessing and the healing of Your grace.
[Verse 2]
Kayla Hamilton, Larisha Thompson, find your rest,
Among the choir of martyrs, in the mansions of the blessed.
Ruby Garcia, Jocelyn Toaquiza, we hold your memory tight,
While we ask for strength to guide us through the darkness of the night.
For Melody Waldecker, Mollie Tibbetts, Lizbeth Medina too,
May the Lord who heals the broken make your spirits bright and new.
[Bridge]
Jamiel Shaw, Matthew Denice, Maverick Martzen, Alex Wise,
For Ivory Smith and Sarah Root, let the holy incense rise.
Katie Abraham, Taliyah Crochet, Rylan Oncale, hear our cries,
To the Father who is watching with a fire in His eyes.
Anya Varfolomeev, Nicholay Osokin, Grayson Davis in the light,
May the peace that passes understanding keep you through the night.
[Verse 3]
David Lee and Robert Boles, Melissa and Riordan Powell,
We remember Kate Steinle and Joshua Wilkerson as well.
Maria and Dayanara Pleitez, Luis Lopez, Santiago Morales,
Megan Bos and Camillia Williams, free from earthly chains.
Every name a precious soul, in the presence of the King,
Where the law is only love and where the choirs of heaven sing.
[Outro]
Eternal rest grant unto them.
Let perpetual light shine upon them.
May their souls, and the souls of all the faithful departed,
Through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen.
