Paper 146 – First Preaching Tour of Galilee 🎢 Song: Beyond the Gods We Made (Introduction) Across Galilee the Master walked, Of truth divine the Father talked. Not signs alone nor wonders displayed, But hearts awakened beyond gods we made. (Verse 1 – The Journey Begins) Through towns and villages they came, Preaching all in the Father's name. The kingdom lived within the soul, Not creeds alone but a living goal. (Verse 2 – At Rimmon) Old beliefs from ancient days, Nature's gods and fearful ways. Yet truth unfolds through every age, Light increasing page by page. No idol formed by human fear, Can hold the Father's presence near. Beyond the myths and shadows dim, The soul discovers trust in Him. (Verse 3 – The Teaching on Prayer) Prayer is not to change God's will, His love and mercy flow us still. Prayer opens wide the human door, To receive what waited there before. Forgive your brother from the heart, And divine peace will then impart. The Father knows each hidden need, Before the soul can speak or plead. (Verse 4 – The Perfect Prayer) Not my will but Yours be done, The prayer of daughter and of son. Not forced submission born of fear, But trust that Heaven's way is clear. The Father's wisdom lights the road, And shares with us life's sacred load. When human will and divine agree, The soul begins eternity. (Verse 5 – At Ramah) The Greek spoke well of mind and thought, Of wisdom gained and knowledge sought. Jesus listened, calm and wise, Pointing higher toward the skies. Facts may show what eyes can see, Philosophy asks what things may be. But spirit reveals the eternal flame, And teaches why existence came. (Verse 6 – The Courage of Truth) Truth fears not the searching mind, Nor honest questions humankind. The soul secure in faith's bright fire, Does not demand the world admire. Intolerance often hides The doubt a fearful heart conceals inside. But living truth can stand the test, And welcomes seekers in their quest. (Verse 7 – Assurance of Sonship) Thomas asked, "How can I know?" Jesus answered soft and slow. The Father's Spirit dwells within, Guiding every child of Him. Not visions bright nor wonders rare, But growing love reveals Him there. The greater love for all mankind, The clearer grows the Father's mind. (Verse 8 – The Leper at Iron) A lonely leper bowed in pain, Rejected by his fellow men. The Master touched the outcast's hand, Restoring worth by love's command. Before the healing of the skin, Compassion reached the soul within. For every child, forgotten or small, Remains beloved by the Father of all. (Verse 9 – Cana and Nain) Crowds sought wonders day and night, Looking for miraculous sight. But Jesus taught a deeper way, Faith that lives from day to day. Beyond the marvels people see, Stands spiritual reality. Not signs alone the kingdom prove, But lives transformed by truth and love. (Verse 10 – The Lesson of Endor) Questions rose concerning the dead, And ancient fears among them spread. Yet Jesus turned their gaze above, Toward living faith and Father's love. Seek not shadows from the past, But values that forever last. The greatest mystery to unfold, Is God's own spirit in the soul. (Special Chorus Beyond the gods that fear designed, Beyond the limits of the mind, Lives the Father, vast and free, Calling every soul to be. No tribal ruler, harsh and grim, No image made resembling him. The Father's love transcends all claim, One family gathered in His name. Prayer uplifts, and truth makes free, Love reveals reality. The kingdom shines eternally, Within the heart of you and me. (Final Outro) Across Galilee His message stayed, Beyond the gods that mortals made. The greatest truth the ages prove: The Father is Love, And we are His beloved children.
