Hallway Light (Live House Set)
Twenty years went by, but you still shine the same. Back then I froze up every time you said my name. Funny how tonight I talk like I’ve known you forever. Maybe I’ve grown a little, maybe not at all. Still feel seventeen when you laugh at something small. But tonight we talked like old friends in the hallway light. If I went back in time, I’d still be that awkward boy inside. But we traded LINE, so I’ll call it a win for the night. I walked to the school, quiet in the midnight breeze. Windows whispered memories I thought I’d lost with ease. Funny how the past feels closer when the lights are off. Maybe I’ve changed a little, maybe I just pretend. Still the same old me, hoping this won’t be the end. Yeah, tonight we talked like old friends in the hallway light. If I went back in time, I’d still be that awkward boy inside. But we traded LINE, so I’ll call it a win for the night. Maybe we’ll meet again, maybe that’s enough for now. I smiled to myself, walking home like nothing changed.
