[instrumental] [Verse 1] They say when it's dark to grab a light Be ready be prepared to traverse the night When darkness falls who will guide you without your sight? How will you fare in the darkness where light is scarce? Who will help you find your way!? [Chorus] The flash of steel A glint in the night A beacon, a hero, a shining light! [Bridge-Chorus] (Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh) [Verse 2] He travels from the direction of the rising sun And in his wake evil's slain and battles won He's a philosopher hero clad in silken garb With the gaze of a sage who's seen much and traveled far And a blade that slices through the air like a shooting star! [Chorus] The flash of steel A glint in the night A beacon, a hero, a shining light! [Verse 3] With wisdom in his eyes and virtue in his heart A blade at his hip, curved and elegant and sharp He comes traveling with the rising sun Leaving a wake of the grateful amongst pools of wicked blood And vanishes without a word when all is done! [Chorus] The flash of steel A glint in the night A beacon, a hero, a shining light! [Post-Chorus] (Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh)
