[VERSE 1] She got that velvet in her movement Little jazz hiding underneath Barefoot on the wooden floor While the bassline rolls beneath She don’t enter with a big entrance She just changes the temperature One little turn of the shoulder Now everybody watching her Trumpet calls from the corner Rhodes answers in blue Then the log drum walks through the door Like it got something to prove [PRE-HOOK] Keep it low… Keep it close… Don’t give the rhythm everything Give it half… Take it back… Make the bassline beg for more [HOOK] VELVET HEAT Sweet pressure on the floor VELVET HEAT I can feel it through the door Wine slow Then accelerate Little bit of jazz With an African heartbeat VELVET HEAT Baby, don’t explain When the groove gets deep Let your body say your name [POST-HOOK] Ooh… That pocket… Berries: There!
