’Tis Eastertide: No One Walks Alone (Gerrit W. Gong) [Apr 2026]

V5.5

On the road to Emmaus, two disciples walked in grief, Hearts so heavy with their loss and unbelief. A stranger joined them on that dusty way, Opened scriptures till their hearts began to burn and sway. No one walks alone on this Eastertide, Jesus walks beside us, ever by our side. Abide with us, O Lord, we humbly pray, He lives, He lives — He walks with us today. They asked Him stay as evening shadows fell, He broke the bread and they knew their Savior well. Eyes were opened in the breaking of the bread, The risen Christ had walked with them, just as He said. No one walks alone on this Eastertide, Jesus walks beside us, ever by our side. Abide with us, O Lord, we humbly pray, He lives, He lives — He walks with us today. Sometimes our roads feel lonely, sad, and long, Misunderstood, unseen, and burdens strong. Yet He is with us in the word and bread, Abiding in us, as the scriptures said. Come walk with Him through covenants pure and true, Take His name, remember Him in all we do. No one sits alone, no one walks unseen, Together in His love, we find what Easter means. No one walks alone on this Eastertide, Jesus walks beside us, ever by our side. Abide with us, O Lord, we humbly pray, He lives, He lives — He walks with us today. He lives, He lives, our hearts now testify, Walk with the lonely, lift each weary eye. ’Tis Eastertide, His promises are sure, No one walks alone — the Lord is with us evermore.
