Verse 1 Static screaming through the night, Distress beacon burning bright. Civilian voices, broken words, "Please, somebody... we're being hurt." Jason checks his rifle twice, eleven Marines fall in behind. No Arch beside him, no Jon in sight, Just another rescue run tonight. Landing zone is dead and still, No movement on the ridge or hill. No bodies... No blood... No sign... Just silence waiting in the night. Pre-Chorus Something's wrong... We all can feel it... Too quiet... Too damn still... Then every door... Slams shut. Chorus FALSE DISTRESS! We walked right in! Thought we came to save a life... Walked into sin! Weyland guns! From every side! Nowhere left... And nowhere hide! FALSE DISTRESS! Hear them fire! Every corridor becomes a wire! They wanted Marines... They got a fight! But someone... Won't make it tonight. Verse 2 Pulse rifles hammer through the smoke, Mercenaries flood the choke. Jason drops behind the wall, "Hold this corridor!" "Don't let them through!" One Marine takes a burst center mass, Falls hard as the seconds pass. Another grabs him by the plate— "Stay with me!" But it's too late. Jason fires through the haze, Three mercs vanish in the blaze. The squad pushes through the hall, Trying not to hear the wounded call. Pre-Chorus Keep moving... Don't look back... Grab the wounded... Watch your six! The mission changed... The second they fired. Now we're getting... The hell out alive. Chorus FALSE DISTRESS! Trap is sprung! Weyland's hunters Thought we'd run! But we're still here! Still alive! And we're dragging Our people outside! FALSE DISTRESS! Break the line! Every second Costs a life! Get the wounded! Get them clear! Call the ship! Tell Valkyrie... We're here! Verse 3 Jason keys the radio hard, "Valkyrie, this is Spartan Echo." Static answers through the smoke, "Say again..." He nearly chokes. "We have casualties..." "Landing pads compromised..." "Multiple hostiles..." "We need extraction..." A burst of gunfire cuts him off. The surviving Marines return fire, Pulse rifles burning brighter. One falls... Then another... But the rest keep moving. Jason looks ahead. The landing pad. Still there. Barely. Pre-Chorus One last corridor... One last fight... One last chance... To see daylight. Chorus GET TO THE PAD! Move! Move! Carry every Marine that cant move! GET TO THE PAD! Don't look back! They're closing in Across our track! Pulse rifles! Flamers! Smartguns! Push through the smoke! Climb higher! We've lost too many... We won't lose more! Get to the pad! Get to the door! Bridge "Valkyrie, respond!" Static. "Valkyrie, do you copy?" Nothing. Jason looks around. The Marines still standing Are exhausted. Bleeding. Running low. But they're moving. "Again." Jason raises the radio. "Valkyrie..." "This is Spartan Echo." "We're pinned down." "We need you now." Static. Then— A voice. Faint. Calm. Almost buried beneath the interference. "Spartan Echo..." "I hear you." Jason closes his eyes for half a second. Relief. "How long?" A pause. "Long enough."
