March On To Mount Zion

[Verse 1] Through the valley and the shadow, Through the fire and the flood, We are pilgrims on a journey Bought and covered by the blood. Though the road is long and narrow, And the night is dark and cold, We keep walking by the Spirit Toward the city made of gold. [Pre-Chorus] Every step is by His mercy, Every breath is by His grace. We are pressing ever forward Till we see Him face to face. [Chorus] We march on to Mount Zion, Where the King is on the throne. We march on to Mount Zion, Where we’ll never be alone. With the angels and the elders We will cast our crowns down low. We march on to Mount Zion— Home is closer than we know. [Verse 2] There are battles still before us, There are tears we have to cry, But the Captain of salvation Leads us onward, lifts us high. He has promised He is with us Every moment of the way, And the gates will swing wide open On that great and glorious day. [Bridge] No more sorrow, no more dying, No more fear and no more night. Just the glory of the Savior And the everlasting light. We are almost to the mountain, We can hear the anthems rise— Join the song of all the faithful As we lift our eyes! [Final Chorus] We march on to Mount Zion, Where the King is on the throne. We march on to Mount Zion, Where we’ll never be alone. With the angels and the elders We will cast our crowns down low. We march on to Mount Zion— We are almost home. We are almost home. [Outro] We march on… To Mount Zion.
