# Crown of Ash and Dragonfire **[Intro — Whispered]** Beneath the mountains, beneath the stone, an ancient heart still beats alone. Wake, great dragon. Wake and rise. Bring back the fire that swallowed the skies. **[Verse 1]** Black wings sleeping under shattered halls, golden eyes behind obsidian walls, chains of silver buried in the deep, for a thousand years they forced you to sleep. The kingdom above has forgotten your name, forgotten the night when the heavens caught flame, forgotten the crown that the old kings wore, when dragons ruled these lands before. **[Pre-Chorus]** Now the bells are screaming, the moon has turned to red, something ancient rises from the kingdom of the dead. **[Chorus]** Rise, dragon, rise! Set fire to the night! Spread those shadowed wings and drown the stars in light. Burn, dragon, burn! Let the old world learn— every stolen kingdom will one day return. Through thunder, blood, and broken stone, come and claim your ancient throne. Rise from darkness, breathe your fire— **Crown of ash and dragonfire!** **[Verse 2]** Deep in the forest where the dead trees grow, witches hear your heartbeat shaking below, wolves start howling, ravens take flight, something enormous is waking tonight. Armies gather underneath the rain, knights draw swords though they whisper your name, but steel means nothing when the mountain roars, and molten fire pours through forgotten doors. **[Pre-Chorus]** The castle towers tremble, the ancient seals divide, and from the burning darkness comes the monster kings denied. Rise from darkness, breathe your fire— **Crown of ash and dragonfire!** **[Bridge — Slow / Dark]** But hidden in the tower stands a girl without a crown, the last blood of the dragon kings while kingdoms crumble down. She raises neither sword nor shield, she does not run away. She whispers words forgotten since the world's first burning day. *"I know you."* The dragon stops. *"I know your pain."* The fire fades. *"They stole your home. They killed your kind. They buried you in chains."* One enormous golden eye opens through the rain. **[Breakdown — Whispered Choir]** Blood of dragon. Blood of queen. Bound together. Born unseen. Ash to ash. Flame to flame. The lost heir speaks the dragon's name. **[Verse 3]** She climbs upon the creature's ancient crown, while frightened soldiers throw their weapons down, one beat of wings and the storm clouds tear, dragon and queen rising into the air. Across dead valleys, across frozen seas, over ruined temples and burning trees, the forgotten creatures begin to wake, as magic returns with every wingbeat. Griffins scream from mountain stone, ghostly armies leave their bones, ancient forests start to breathe, and something moves beneath the sea. The age of men is fading fast. The age of magic returns at last. **[Final Chorus — Huge Choir]** RISE, DRAGON, RISE! SET FIRE TO THE NIGHT! LET A THOUSAND KINGDOMS SEE YOUR WINGS IN FLIGHT! BURN, DRAGON, BURN! LET THE OLD WORLD LEARN— WHAT WAS TAKEN LONG AGO HAS FINALLY RETURNED! Through thunder, blood, and broken stone, dragon queen upon her throne! Let the heavens join the choir— **CROWN OF ASH!** **CROWN OF FLAME!** **LET THE WORLD REMEMBER YOUR NAME!** Rise from darkness, ever higher— ## CROWN OF ASH AND DRAGONFIRE! **[Outro — Whispered]** And when travellers cross the black mountains at night, they still sometimes see two burning shapes above the clouds— one with wings, and one wearing a crown. The dragon never served the queen. And the queen never commanded the dragon. They simply remembered... they were family.
