Fracture (Acoustic)
Left in the fracture... It started with whispers behind bedroom doors Now the silence is louder than the slamming of drawers Mom’s got that look, like she’s already gone And Dad just stares like he did nothing wrong I was raised in a house built on tension and glass Now I’m bleeding from pieces they dropped in the past No winners, no truth, just a child in the war Holding both sides 'til I can't anymore And they tell me, “You’ll be fine, it’s not your fight,” But I’m the one who lies awake at night Caught in the middle, buried in pain While they keep walking like I'm not in the frame This is the fracture, broken and real Where nothing they say will ever heal I scream through the static, but nobody hears I drown in the silence of all these years I’m not okay, I never was But I’m the one Left in the fracture they never discuss Dad says it’s better this way, “It’s just how it goes,” But I see through the cracks in the face that he shows Mom’s packing boxes like she’s packing regret And I’m stuck in between what I can’t forget They both blame each other with hollow defense But I’m the evidence of their consequence I carry the weight they pretend to discard Living in ruins they made in my heart And they tell me, “You’ll grow strong from the pain,” But I’m tired of learning through damage and strain They say, “This is life,” like that makes it fair But none of this feels like anyone cares This is the fracture, broken and real Where nothing they say will ever heal I scream through the static, but nobody hears I drown in the silence of all these years I’m not okay, I never was But I’m the one Left in the fracture they never discuss You say it’s over like that makes it clean But I’m still bleeding where they can’t see I’m not whole, I’m not even close Just hiding in pieces no one knows Still torn, still spinning, still numb inside Still watching the wreckage they try to hide Still stuck in a room with their ghosts and lies Still waiting for peace that never arrives And I know they won’t change, and they won’t look back So I carve my truth in this shattered track This is the fracture, the middle of pain The sharp little pieces that whisper my name No villain, no hero, just heartache and dust No promises left here to lean on or trust They walked away, maybe they had to But I’m the one Left in the fracture they never see through I live where the pieces never fit I live where the pieces never fit
