Moses said, “Lord, show me Your glory; I want to know who You really are.” God said, “Then Moses, draw near to Me; You can’t worship Me from afar. In drawing near I’ll lead you past My works And I’ll show you My ways; But you must not seek My hands, You must seek My face.” Lord, I want to know You, To look upon Your face; There to see Your glory, Your mercy and Your grace. To marvel at Your goodness, To feel Your loving embrace; Lord, I want to know You, For who You really are. Paul said the only thing in life That’s worth anything, Is to know Christ in His fullness And the joy that brings. So let a wise man not boast in his wisdom Or a mighty man in his might; Let him boast in the fact he knows And understands the God of glory and light! Lord, I want to know You, To look upon Your face; There to see Your glory, Your mercy and Your grace. To marvel at Your goodness, To feel Your loving embrace; Lord, I want to know You, For who You really are. God said, “Draw near to Me And you will see just who I really am; If you draw near with an undivided heart And a pair of pure, clean hands. I’ll show you a part of Me You thought you’d never see; It’s reserved for those who take the time To seek Me earnestly.” Lord, I want to know You, To look upon Your face; There to see Your glory, Your mercy and Your grace. To marvel at Your goodness, To feel Your loving embrace; Lord, I want to know You, For who You really are. Teach me to draw near to You, So that I might know You For who You really are.
