Verse 1 Paul heard the news and his heart cried out, "Why turn away? What's this all about?" Some said, "Add rules if you want God's grace," But Paul stood firm and declared the case. No work of man, no law can save, No chains of religion, no life enslaved. The cross of Christ has paved the way, By faith alone we're saved today. Pre-Chorus Not by striving, not by fear, The voice of mercy calls us near. Chorus We're free, free in Jesus' name, Not by our works but by His grace. The burden's gone, the debt is paid, The Lamb of God has made a way. By faith we stand, by faith we run, Children of the Promise, daughters and sons. The Spirit leads, our hearts belong, Galatians sings freedom's song. Verse 2 Abraham trusted the Lord above, Counted as righteous through faith and love. The law was a guide till Christ appeared, Now God's own family has been brought near. No Jew or Greek, no slave or free, In Christ we're one for eternity. Clothed in His righteousness divine, His promise forever is yours and mine. Bridge Walk in the Spirit, don't look behind, Leave all the chains of the flesh behind. Love, joy, peace begin to grow, The fruit of the Spirit starts to show. Patience and kindness, faithfulness too, Gentleness, self-control breaking through. What Christ began He'll carry on, Till we stand complete before His throne. Final Chorus We're free, free in Jesus' name, Not by our works but by His grace. The cross alone is all our plea, Christ has won the victory. By faith we stand, by faith we run, Children of the Promise, daughters and sons. The Spirit leads, our hearts belong, Forever we'll sing freedom's song. Outro Sola fide, grace alone, Christ our Savior, Christ our home. No turning back, our hearts are strong, Redeemed to sing freedom's song.
