AEGIS OF THE NORTHChapter II | 🧵THE THREAD THAT BROKE
[Intro – Ancient Greek lyra, distant temple bells, female whisper] [RHEA – whispered] Τρεῖς μοῖραι, τρεῖς κλωσταί. Μία ἐρράγη. (Three Fates, three threads. One has broken.) [LEANDROS male – deep spoken voice] The temple sleeps... But something walks beneath the stone. [Verse 1 – RHEA, dark melodic female lead] Three golden flames against the night, Three ancient hands that guarded light. But when the moon turned pale and cold, One flame went dark, one tale untold. The priest was gone before the dawn, His bronze staff lay upon the stone. And where the sacred fire had died, A single thread lay black beside. [Pre-Chorus – RHEA female] I heard a whisper through the wall, A voice that knew the names of all. It spoke of something lost below, A truth the gods refused to show. [Chorus – RHEA powerful, LEANDROS deep harmony] Who dares to break what fate has spun? Who steals the night before the sun? Three hands of stone, one thread undone, What has awakened? What has begun? [LEANDROS – deep Old Norse ritual chant] Nornir spinna örlög vár. Þráðrinn slitnar. Hver sleit þráðinn? [MALE CHOIR – low, thunderous] Örlög! Örlög! [Sudden silence – a single thread snaps] [MALE CHOIR] THE THREAD HAS BROKEN! THE THREAD HAS BROKEN! [Verse 2 – LEANDROS, male deep weathered baritone] I saw the goddess turn her hand, A mark appeared upon the sand. No mortal breath, no living face, Yet footsteps crossed the sacred place. And Sten stood silent by the door, His ancient markings burned once more. Upon his arm, a twisted line, The broken thread, the hidden sign. [Instrumental – dark tagelharpa and mournful bouzouki melody, heavy guitars] [LEANDROS – deep Old Norse ritual chant] Nornir spinna örlög vár. Þráðrinn slitnar. Hver sleit þráðinn? [MALE CHOIR – low, thunderous] Örlög! Örlög! [Sudden silence – a single thread snaps] [Bridge – RHEA female , Ancient Greek ritual chant] Ὦ Μοῖραι, ἀκούσατέ μου. Τίς τὸν μίτον ἔρρηξεν; (O Fates, hear me. Who broke the thread?) [LEANDROS male – deep spoken] Not every thread was meant to bind. [RHEA – female fierce] Not every fate was meant to die! [Sudden silence – a single thread snaps] [Final Chorus – explosive full band, RHEA lead] Who dares to break what fate has spun? Who hides the truth from everyone? The stone shall speak, the sea shall rise, A thousand threads beneath our skies! [LEANDROS male] The gods remember what we hide! [RHEA female ] And I will find the one who lied! [MALE CHOIR – thunderous] ONE SEA! MANY NAMES! ONE THREAD! NO CHAINS! [Outro – lyra, distant wind, fading temple bells] [RHEA female – whispered] One thread is missing... [LEANDROS male – distant] And someone is still holding it.
