In the skyline of my brain My dark thoughts are hijacked planes Planning to destroy everything I’ve built.. ... mmm, mmm My two towers of Hopes and Dreams stretch to the sky like laser beams An easy target for the pilots One called Fear, one called Guilt But my superhero, Trust Just stares frozen from the sidelines while the city turns to dust and right now would be the right time to remember how to fly After all, it's fight or flight time will she give up now and go?... I don't know In the wasteland of my brain My tears are like torrential rain Washing all the dust away , mmm mm My resilience has planted seeds And fresh shoots push through sodden weeds My city starts to grow again But green instead of grey And my superhero, Trust Has picked herself up off the ground now and is walking through the dust She feels hope is all around now She's forgotten how to fly But her inner strength she's found now Will she give up now and go? Hell no! INSTRUMENTAL In the forest of my brain My strength is like the sugar cane Stretching to the sky dense and strong , mmm,mm The bad guys ,they can’t see down here moved on to someone’s else’s fear and this lush, protected land is where our hearts belong And our Superhero, Trust has built a city, dense and green now that has overcome the dust resilience is all she needs now and she doesnt need to fly she walks barefoot through the trees now and her paradise she’s won.
