[Verse 1] When Moses trembled by the flame, God still called him by name. Not for a crown or velvet seat, But to lead with holy feet. David learned in fields of dust, A shepherd heart is where You trust. A steady hand, a listening ear, A king who ruled with reverent fear. [Pre-Chorus] So guard the flock, keep watch tonight, Walk in truth and do what's right. The one who leads must bend the knee, And let the Lord set the degree. [Chorus] Lead us well, lead us well With a faith that rings like a church bell Lead us well, lead us well Serve the Lord, and serve us well (Lead us well) [Verse 2] Nehemiah faced the broken wall, One man rose and gave his all. He prayed, then stood before the crowd, Strong in heart, but humble now. Not with pride, not with show, Just a servant seed that learns to grow. If you carry someone's pain, Lead like rain that brings the grain. [Pre-Chorus] So guard the flock, keep watch tonight, Walk in truth and do what's right. The one who leads must bend the knee, And let the Lord set the degree. [Chorus] Lead us well, lead us well With a faith that rings like a church bell Lead us well, lead us well Serve the Lord, and serve us well (Lead us well) [Bridge] Wash our feet and break the bread, Speak life over the weary head. When the road is rough and long, Make the weak feel they belong. [Final Chorus] Lead us well, lead us well With a faith that rings like a church bell Lead us well, lead us well Serve the Lord, and serve us well Lead us well, lead us well Till Your name is all we tell (Lead us well)
