I try to do good

[Intro- G | C | G | C |] I try to do good things [Chorus] And when I try to do good things I hope it's enough, I hope it sings a quiet truth, a gentle plea that the good I do comes back to me [Bridge] If you saw me now, you’d probably laugh at the volunteer work but I’m learning love can look pretty plain like making room in the day for somebody else’s name [Verse] I try to do good things Give for charity cash I make time for others but my own life is a mash say what I mean, mean it like I might lose it [Instrumental break] [Verse] I try to do good things Give for charity cash I make time for others but my own life is a mash say what I mean, mean it like I might lose it [Fade out] [End]
