Verse 1 My skin is full of demons. Black ink, horns, teeth, dead eyes. People stare at me as if I were dangerous, but no one sees how much fear lives beneath my skin. I rarely laugh. Too rarely. Trust feels like walking barefoot over glass. So I keep my distance. Always. Verse 2 Today I just drove. Further and further out of the city, away from voices, away from people, away from myself. (mhm) Now I stand here at this precipice. The wind tugs at my clothes, as if testing whether I’m really still holding on. In the distance stands the lighthouse. Its light turns slowly through the darkness, sweeping over the sea again and again, as if searching for something that was lost long ago. Chorus My thoughts are louder than my own voice. Louder than the wind. Louder than the waves deep below me. I stay silent so much that no one notices how loudly I’m screaming inside. (ah, I don't want to feel anything anymore) Verse 3 Beneath me, nothing but black water and those jagged rocks jutting out of the sea like exposed bone. I know exactly that it would all be over. One step. Nothing more. And the worst part isn't the fear. It’s how calm this thought has become. (mhm, yeah) Verse 4 I don’t cry. Haven’t for a long time. I’ve swallowed everything down, until even pain has fallen silent. My chest feels empty, like a room where life once existed. Now, only an echo dwells there. The lighthouse keeps flashing. Over and over. Bright. Cold. It doesn't matter. (mhm) Chorus My thoughts are louder than my heartbeat. They’re spinning in circles, faster and faster, deeper and deeper. And I’m standing here with demons on my skin and even worse ones inside my head. (mhm) Bridge Maybe I grew tired a long time ago, without even realizing it. Maybe I was already lost before I even drove up here. The wind is pressing against my back. Or maybe I’m just imagining it. Verse I take a step forward. Damn it, "Just dare to jump," I tell myself... (I want to disappear) The lighthouse keeps shining, as if nothing were happening, As if the world would simply go on without me. I want to... forget... I want to... forget... Please. Outro My thoughts are growing quieter. Not peaceful. Just empty. And somewhere out there, the night swallows my shadow. (mhm, I’m losing myself)
