V4.5-ALL

(Verse 1) The heavens and the earth were finished in their frame All the host of them, brought forth in His name On the seventh day, He rested from the light The work was all complete, setting all things right He blessed the seventh day and sanctified it too Because in it He rested, all the work was through. (Chorus) Then the mist went up, watering the ground Forming man from dust, where the life was found Breathed into his nostrils, the breath of life so deep A living soul was standing, promises to keep He planted Eden eastward, in a garden fair With every tree of beauty, fruit beyond compare. (Verse 2) The river flowed from Eden, to water all the land Dividing into four, by the Master's hand The Lord God took the man, and put him in the place To tend and keep the garden, a gift of holy grace He gave a clear command, from every tree to eat But of the tree of knowing, refrain and stay discreet. (Bridge) It is not good for man to be alone, He said I’ll make a helper for him, in the path he’s led So the Lord brought every creature, to see what man would name But for the man, no helper, a partner just the same He cast a heavy sleep, upon the man so still And fashioned him a woman, to match His holy will. (Outro) "This is bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh," he cried "She shall be called Woman," standing by his side Therefore shall a man, leave father and his mother Cleave unto his wife, and hold no other lover They were both of them naked, and felt no kind of shame Living in the garden, in the power of His name.
