Let There Be Light

[Intro – whispered Hebrew, dark ambient choir] בְּרֵאשִׁית... תֹהוּ וָבֹהוּ... חֹשֶׁךְ עַל־פְּנֵי תְהוֹם... [Verse 1] Before the mountains knew their names Before the rivers learned to run There was a silence without shape A world still waiting for the sun [Pre-Chorus] Over the waters The Spirit moved Over the darkness A voice broke through [Chorus] Let there be light Let the heavens open wide Let there be light Where the deep and shadows hide יְהִי אוֹר וַיְהִי־אוֹר From the void, from the night Let there be light [Verse 2] Dust was dreaming under stars Time was sleeping in the deep Then the Word became a fire And woke creation from its sleep [Hebrew Hook] וְרוּחַ אֱלֹהִים מְרַחֶפֶת עַל־פְּנֵי הַמָּיִם [Bridge – heavy breakdown] וַיַּבְדֵּל אֱלֹהִים בֵּין הָאוֹר וּבֵין הַחֹשֶׁךְ [Final Chorus] Let there be light Let the dead stars burn again Let there be light Let the breath return to men יְהִי אוֹר וַיְהִי־אוֹר From the void, from the night Let there be light
