[Intro] [Verse 1] I quit keeping tabs on every little wrong Learned to let it drift on by, just move along Used to need it perfect, now I let it bend A good day's just a good day, don't need to defend [Verse 2] I used to keep score on every little thing Now I let it go before the phone starts to ring Gave my seat up on the bus, stranger gave a smile Didn't cost me nothing but it made the whole day worthwhile [Pre-Chorus] It ain't about the money, it ain't about the fame It's a hand extended out, it's calling someone's name [Chorus] It's the simplicity of life, oh Don't sweat the small stuff, let it go Take what comes and hold it close It's the people that you love the most The simplicity of life, hey-oh Simplicity of life [Verse 3] Bad day comes Let it pass Good day comes Make it last That's the way we're living now, simple as can be [Bridge] Hey! Ho! Give a little, get a little more Hey! Ho! Open up your door Hey! Ho! Love your fellow man That's the only life plan we understand [Verse 4] Don't need the big house, don't need the big car Just need my people close, wherever the road may go We'll share what we got, that's the only way Simple hands, simple hearts, simple kind of grace [Pre-Chorus] It ain't about the money, it ain't about the fame It's a hand extended out, it's calling someone's name [Chorus] It's the simplicity of life, oh Don't sweat the small stuff, let it go Take what comes and hold it close It's the people that you love the most The simplicity of life, hey-oh Simplicity of life [Outro] Ohhh... simplicity of life Ohhh... that's all we need tonight
