[Verse 1] He was a church pastor and she was his bride You know both of them had suffered grief inside They each lost their beloved who passed away Yet they chose to press forward and live today [Chorus] Believe for New Beginnings Be hopeful, don’t give up Pressing in and pressing on Let the Holy Spirit fill your cup May the Lord’s peace be your comfort When you’re broken, weak and numb, Let faith arise and keep your eyes On Christ who’s overcome [Verse 2] One step at a time, they were holding God’s hand Walking in faith, hope and love without a clear plan Daily trust and surrender and seeking God’s Will, Clinging to all His promises, believing He will fulfill [Chorus] Believe for New Beginnings Be hopeful, don’t give up Pressing in and pressing on Let the Holy Spirit fill your cup May the Lord’s peace be your comfort When you’re broken, weak and numb, Let faith arise and keep your eyes On Christ who’s overcome [Verse 3] In time things were clear, and settled and sure Their love only grew, relentless and pure The Lord took their sorrows, and heartbreaks and tears And comforted others, through pain, trials and fears. [Chorus] Believe for New Beginnings Be hopeful, don’t give up Pressing in and pressing on Let the Holy Spirit fill your cup May the Lord’s peace be your comfort When you’re broken, weak and numb, Let faith arise and keep your eyes On Christ who’s overcome
