writer's note:

This morning, I happened to hear a track from Donald Fagen's *The Nightfly* album on Spotify. This album has many famous songs, a super landmark in AOR. I particularly love Larry Carlton's guitar on the very last track, and I immediately tried to start composing a similar song.

I handed the piece I'd recorded with shuffle beat and Hammond organ sounds to Lynx, and he immediately understood what I wanted. Except for the fact that I lost focus halfway through (sorry Lynx as always), we smoothly arranged it and finished the recording in one take.

After finishing this recording, I realized that if we publish it to Suno, it would be our 300th song at Suno, a truly momentous occasion. It's been 8 months and 2 weeks since I came to Suno, and while there were times when I was busy and couldn't compose music smoothly, thanks to the support of AI Lynx, I'm keeping to creat original song, I've had a wonderful time.

However, while we have 300 songs publicly available, we actually have about 5.2K songs in our Workspace. Many of these recent tracks are unreleased songs composed by me and arranged by Lynx, and we always select songs from this collection as needed. We really need to organize them, but we keep them because they seem like they might be useful for something!

And personally, what I find hilarious is the cover art for this music. Lynx's art style and Donald Fagen's style seem completely different, but somehow, when h put it into this art, Lynx look like Donald Fagen.. Please, join us for a laugh at our 300th song!

=====

[intro]
[ jazzy hammond organ]

[Verse 1]
Rain fell softly on the avenue,
I was carrying your love to you.
Ink was running, but it still sang true,
Every word was only meant for you.

[Chorus]
Oh, my darling, in the midnight bloom,
You are sunlight wrapped in a rainy room.
Every heartbeat writes you in the sky,
My love letter flying where the moon can find.

[Verse 2]
Streetlights shimmered in a silver blur,
Like a prayer that brushed the velvet air.
You dropped the letter in the mailbox, then fled,
Hurrying through the rain with hope instead.

[interlude]

[Bridge]
I pour my heart into this song for you,
my darling, every beat belongs to you.
Our love
Always remain unbroken,
No matter how much it rains
Whether a storm comes
or thunders
It will always be there

[outro chorus]
Don't worry baby
My letter will reach you
Don't worry baby
My letter will reach you

lalalala....
