[Intro] Sweet yesterday, yesterday, u-uu-u-uu [Verse 1] Oh, you looked away when the door clicked I only followed with a stare Your scent was still floating softly I tried to get up but didn't dare I counted marks in the ceiling The ones you did with a smile The elevator cranked in corridor You used to hate that sound [Chorus] Oh yesterday, yesterday, u-uu-u-uu Still missing your gentle touch Why did we have to depart, a-aa-a-aa Things were so good for both of us [Verse 2] There’s mail for you at the doorstep I guess I'll leave it there Your calendar’s still on the fridge June is still showing it's here I sat in your sofa for a while Didn’t want to move much The cushion had kept your shape But then it slowly gave up [Chorus] Oh yesterday, yesterday, u-uu-u-uu Still missing your gentle touch Why did we have to depart, a-aa-a-aa Things were so good for both of us [Bridge] No radio today No plans, u-uu No calls don't want to talk No desire to walk, a-aa [Chorus] Oh yesterday, yesterday, u-uu-u-uu Still missing your gentle touch Why did we have to depart, a-aa-a-aa Things were so good for both of us
