[Verse 1] The firelight dances Shadows grow tall The blood moon rises A curse on us all Whispers in the forest The wolves cry at night A shiver in the wind Something ain’t right [Chorus] Blood moon Blood moon Painting the sky Trouble is coming And no one knows why Hearts grow heavy The air turns cold Blood moon Blood moon Tales of the old [Verse 2] The elders are silent Their faces are grim The flicker of fear It’s deep within The horses are restless They paw at the ground The blood moon calls where darkness is bound [Chorus] Blood moon Blood moon Painting the sky Trouble is coming And no one knows why Hearts grow heavy The air turns cold Blood moon Blood moon Tales of the old [Bridge] A stranger appears With eyes like the sea Says "Run while you can Don't look back at me." The fire burns low And the night’s growing deep Under the blood moon No one dares sleep [Chorus] Blood moon Blood moon Painting the sky Trouble is coming And no one knows why Hearts grow heavy The air turns cold Blood moon Blood moon Tales of the old
