I dream of you all through the night your presence soft as moonlight on my skin. I dream of your eyes, those lovely, silent stars that hold me still. I dream of your gentle hands, the way they once calmed the storm inside me. I dream of your shining hair, a golden veil that danced in morning light. When I dream of you, when I dream of you, your touch, your breath, your warmth then I am cradled in the most beautiful dream, a dream spun from longing, woven with hope. But dreams are fragile things. A dream can darken, like skies before the rain. A dream can change, slipping through fingers like mist. A dream can simply be a dream a shadow of what once felt real. A dream can deceive, whispering promises it cannot keep. And then fear draws near, quietly, like a thief in the night. Tensions unravel, memories stir, when I think of that single moment the moment of pain and sorrow, the moment we said goodbye though every part of me wished to stay, to remain connected, to hold on just a little longer.
