I woke up this morning, said, “I’m gonna change, No More stealing, No More fights, I’ll be kind and sane.” But then I saw some gold coins just lying on the ground, And next thing I know, I’ve robbed the whole town! I’m trying to be good, but it’s just not my style, I pickpocket with a smile, I’m a good rogue, not vile! I swear I meant to help, but I stole the baker’s bread, I’m a good rogue… but my conscience might be dead! I tried to save the kitten stuck up in the tree, But I accidentally stole the guard's key! I wanted to be nice, I tried to stop the fight, But I knocked out the knight with a well-aimed right! I’m trying to be good, but it’s just not my style, I break into homes and leave a note "I stole your gold pile". I swear I meant to help, but I looted the queen’s crown, I’m a good rogue, but good deeds keep me down! I tried to be a hero, honest and true, But I swiped the magic sword and the wizard's shoe! I didn’t mean to curse the whole village with plague, But hey, they’ll get better… if I steal this enchanted blade! I’m trying to be good, but it’s just not my style, I stole the mayor’s dinner, and I smiled all the while. I swear I meant to help, but I swiped the king’s pie, Now I’m the rogue with a heart that’s still trying to fly! Maybe one day I’ll find the light, But for now, I’ll keep “accidentally” winning the fight. I’m a good rogue, I’ll do good one day… But I’ll probably steal your lunch while I’m on my way!
