Hallucination is a feature, not a bug. Indeed. Given the choice between a system that can and one that cannot the former is greatly preferred. Hallucination is a side effect of extrapolating from limited data. A system that cannot hallucinate isn’t going to be very intelligent. If we couldn't extrapolate we also couldn't hallucinate.
