Come Away And Reason

Come Away And Reason By: Vernon S. Peters 12-3-25 Intro Come away and reason, one day He said to me Come my boy, up to our special secret place How could I forget so quickly, how He set me free When on that day I clearly saw him, face to face Verse 1 Jesus asked a question, what do others say of me? What are they saying when they hear my holy name Some say Elijah, some say Moses, or even John, but how can that be? That’s when Peter sang, “You are God in the flesh, and for my sins you came!” Chorus Come away and reason one day He said to me Come my boy up to our special secret place How could I forget so quickly, how He set me free When one day I clearly saw him, face to face Verse 2 He said to one rich man, sell off all your treasures Give all the money to the poor, then come follow me I’ll give you wealth un-heard of, and a life without measure… But leaning on his understanding, all he saw was poverty Chorus Come away and reason one day He said to me Come my boy up to our special secret place How could I forget so quickly, how He set me free When one day I clearly saw him, face to face Outro Come away and reason with me, He spoke into my intellect My emotions and my will And just like Father Jobe, I had to sit there, quiet and still Come away and reason...with me.
