Easter - Risen

[Intro | Instrumental] [Warm rising piano + gentle string swells, subtle hopeful ambient] [Verse 1] Stone was rolled, the tomb lay bare Empty grave, no body there Women came at break of dawn Angels whispered, “He is gone” [Pre-Chorus 1] What seemed the end was not the end Darkness lost its grip again Life had broken every chain Love had conquered death’s domain [Chorus 1] He is risen, risen from the grave Death has lost its power, love has saved Hope is born where sorrow used to reign He is risen… forever He remains [Verse 2] Forty days He walked the earth Shared the bread, revealed His worth Opened eyes that once were blind Spoke of peace to troubled minds [Pre-Chorus 2] He comforted their fearful hearts Promised power from above Then He rose into the sky Leaving heaven’s gate wide [Chorus 2] He is risen, risen from the grave Grace has triumphed, sin is washed away New creation breaks forth like the spring He is risen… hear the heavens sing [Bridge] [Half-time, warm and reflective – soft piano + rich strings] After winter comes the bloom After dying, life resumes Every wound becomes a door Every cross becomes a throne once more What was buried now is raised What was broken now is whole and praised Darkness never has the final say Love has spoken, Love has won the day [Final Chorus] [Full warm orchestral swell, layered soft male backing vocals] He is risen, risen from the grave Death defeated, life restored and brave From the empty tomb to forty days of grace To the Spirit coming in His place Father, Son and Holy Ghost we praise We rise with Him through endless days He is risen… He is risen indeed New life forever… we are freed [Outro] [Fading warm strings + gentle piano] He is risen… He is risen indeed… New life… Forever… Amen.
