Villager Panic
[Intro] [distorted electric guitar riff, punchy drums] [record scratch] [Verse 1] [aggressive male vocals] You listen. Listen close now 'cause the spawn's weird tonight. I've been hearing things: little hurms, little snorts like they rearrange in the furnace reality with those big square noses. They don't want you knowing that. No sir! But I seen the patterns. I seen the paths they pace back and forth like they're measuring my doom. You think that hum in the village is wind? [rhythmic stop] No, no, no. That's their communication frequency. That's their nasal chanting. That's the— [vocal glitch effect] Sorry, sorry. Their language gets stuck in my head sometimes. [Chorus] [full band, driving energy] They've been building something out there! Behind the farm, behind the farm, behind the farm! Layers on layers like a secret onion made of hay bales! I heard a workbench clack at 3:17 AM and then a villager go "Hrrr". Acquired, acquired what? Nobody tells me that part! Nobody tells any of us! [Verse 2] [bass-heavy industrial beat] And the radio, this radio right here keeps cutting out whenever I get close to the truth like they're trap— [record scratch] Like the universe taking a long snort through a blocky nose! But I know. Oh, I know! 'Cause last night the sky flickered like a bad chunk loading and all the cows stared in the same direction! And my pickaxe started vibrating like it was scared! That's a sign, that's a trigger word, that's a— [vocal cut] Oops, there it goes again. [Bridge] [staccato synth riff] I've been watching them. Watching me! Pacing around their little square huts like they're guarding the secrets of the universe. They tilt their heads at me like they know I don't belong here, like they smell the fear on my pickaxe. They stay in circles sometimes, whispering in that nasal hum, and I swear the crops lean in to listen! The strings, they're pulling all the strings and they all turn at once like synchronized suspicion! Like they rehearsed it just to rattle my bones! [Outro] [heavy guitar chords] I tried trading with one, just once, and he looked at me like I handed him a cursed artifact. He shook his head slow, judgmental, like he was denying my whole existence! Then he walked away without breaking eye contact, like he was dragging my dignity behind him! "I demand to see your manager!" I screamed! And the others watched, silent, like a jury that already made up its mind anyway! [drums and guitar intensify] You keep your eyes open. You keep your torch lit. And if you hear a thump in the walls, don't panic! It just means they're getting closer to whatever they're planning. Closer to the reveal! Closer to the— [final drum hit]
