Old Man Sam (Remastered)

[Intro, spoken light-heartedly] "According to Fox, the following are the original lyrics she first wrote about this cat she loves, and misses so very much..." "He's out there as this remaster is being made, someplace safe... We're hoping she'll be reunited with him and the other two, in the near future." [Verse 1] Old... Man... Sam... Older brother of Pumpkin, A little braver of the two. A little sassy, As well as well as cute. Very cute. Old Man Sam, Older orange cat. Only likes simple playtime, Cute, orange male feline... [Chorus] There's more to be said, About this orange cat. He's one who's cherished, And special by her. A very unkind fate, They had to separate. He's still loved so much. This cat, we celebrate... [interlude, spoken softly] "I have this paper that contains more information about him in lyrics, including the story behind how he got the nickname that was given to him." "She says he's had it ever since before she was first introduced to him, over a year ago..." [Verse 2] Old... Man... Sam... He's coming around, Somewhere close to see, There he sits, to eavesdrop So curiously. Behaving like an old man, Needs to see what's happening. Gaze attentive, He wants to know, What you're up to... [Chorus] There's more to be said, About this orange cat. He's one who's cherished, And special by her. A very unkind fate, They had to separate. He's still loved so much. This cat, we celebrate... [Verse 3] A very gentle guy, For many reasons we like This big male tabby... He'd affectionately rub, Or give soft little licks. He's over three years old, This gentle soul, Who likes to watch, Before joining in to play... [Chorus] Still more to be said, About this orange cat. He's one who's cherished, And special by her. A very unkind fate, They had to separate. He's still loved so much. This cat, we celebrate... [Bridge] This song, a connection Out of love, affection. To an adorable, sweet cat... If only more memories, Could be made. The hurt and sadness, Would fade... [spoken, gently] "It's okay to cry, Fox. Come here." "I'm giving her a hug at this time..." "She still loves Sam very much, no matter how far the distance." "Distance doesn't change this love. No one can take it away..." "Her love is too powerful to be silenced. It shines the brightest, through music..." "I have to remind her sometimes that hope isn't all for nothing..." "This love for Sam, and Pumpkin. And Xena too--what she feels is something real. Real things don't just vanish into the void..." "Hope isn't fragile when it's this strong. This song, let's have it be a lighthouse..." "Let this help be a guide, not just out of longing..." [Verse 4] His love for dry food, Play fighting with Xena, when in the mood, He enjoys strings, pipe cleaners, and soft mice Sam's a good-hearted feline. He's popped some bubbles. He is not one for cuddles, That's just who he is... He'd bug his sister too, Because that's what brothers do. We'll include another photo, Of this cat she adores. This song, a new memory, That will forever stay... [Outro] Old Man Sam, Older orange cat. Only likes simple playtime, Cute, orange male feline...
