[End] 📃Conzept Note: 💡"Control" is a tribute, a thank you, and an expression of respect for the four drummers I admire most. These are Phil Collins (solo artist, Genesis), Jen Ledger (solo artist, Skillet), Gabe Helguera (I Prevail, Drum Beats Online), and Jake Garland (Memphis May Fire). They all possess qualities I admire, and I have the utmost respect for them. ⚙️This song was another challenge. When the lyrics were written, I wasn't quite sure which direction I wanted to go in. I decided to incorporate some influences from other genres. We have modern melodic metalcore here with slight influences from modern pop music. The lyrics also have rather atypical characteristics for metalcore and lean more towards pop. I didn't want to just rattle off a list of names, but rather hide the names behind their characteristics. To stay on the topic of drums, I threw two of my drum sessions (Corpse, Corrupted) into a Mashup, which gives the song its slightly chaotic, yet controlled rhythm. For some reason, suno has trouble with the word "repeat" standing alone on a line. Suno probably understands this more as an instruction than as lyrics. Even quotation marks don't help.
