SPECK OF LINT. Written by The Blindfolded Poet. If I could be. If I could be a speck of lint on the shoulder of your shirt. I wouldn’t mind, as they say it could be worse. In fact I might kind of like the view from up there You are sort of tall. I think the Dog would miss me. I know my mom would miss me. “Hey you there!” she would demand “What have you done with her?!” Then she’d see the lint on your shoulder and give it a pick and I would yell “Mom, it’s me!” “Let me think” you’d say. Looking down, searching for an answer. “Don’t remember” you’d shrug. And you would both stare out and watch the world in front of you. Then she’d give me a flick down where the street is wet. And there I’d be as life goes on. Poem.
