To My Teenage Daughter

V5

I had a little girl, who had a little curl, Right in the middle of her forehead. The cutest child, inside and out, And a voice that could yield a shout! Loud sometimes, soft at others, bossy, whiny, but always a lover. Some girls weren't nice to her. And after years, it caused a burr. She wondered what be the matter, Inside her head she heard all the chatter. Mostly from schoolgirls, their politics played on, Year after year until we were gone. Gone from our home to start over anew, Yet the pain on her shoulders just grew. She isn't a loser, or even close. Beautiful and sensitive, she got that dose. From God who chose her, He waits to see, She overcame the demons from the enemy. To love all others as she loves herself, No matter who or even in good health. My little girl, so mad at me, I want her back upon my knee. And when I offer to give my heart, That she stand with me to make a new start. I was born to help others no matter what, I just know this deep inside my gut. God's gift I will not make her feel bad. But to honor myself in his presence, be glad. Glad I can help anyone being harmed. Yet never allowing my daughter to be swarmed. Warmed with love and cradled my best, In a life gone astray, we have been put to the test. Don’t leave me, my child, alone in the mess. But if you do, I will love you no less. I wanted you from the day I found out. You were growing within me I gave a shout. We all had you together, you, me, and my sons. I had no help, only your brothers. How could you think I would love you less? Just because the girls aren't at rest. They need us now as they always have. Can we leave them with that evil staff? Girls will be girls, and you are the best. At learning the politics and letting it rest. I am proud yet you don’t seem to know, Forgive me for not making that show. A loser, no way...you have more coming up, Don't let little issues stop the filling of your cup. We have been divided, you and I, Could we love again as high as God's sky? I miss you so much I love you, Your Mother
