Ruth 3 (Cover)

[Intro – Servants, playful rap over light beat] She’s been here since morning, from early light,
Hardly resting, gleaning grain tight.
Behind the reapers, she gathers slow,
Steady as the sunrise, watch her go. [Verse 1 – MALE VOICE Boaz, entering with greeting] The Lord be with you! Shalom in this place,
Abundance flows from Yahweh’s grace.
Whose young woman is this? Tell me her name,
She gleans with such honour, no hint of shame. [Bridge – Servants, explanatory tone] She came with Naomi from Moab’s land,
Asked for permission with open hand.
A stranger in Israel, yet humble and true,
Her faith shows strong in the work she’ll do. [Verse 2 – FEMALE VOICE Ruth, tender yet bold] I’m a foreigner gleaning along the sheaves,
Finding favour in the shade of these eaves.
Mercy to me, though I stand apart,
Why such kindness to a foreign heart? [Verse 3 – MALE VOICE Boaz, warm and protective] Don’t go to another, stay close, drink and eat,
I’ve heard of your kindness, leaving Moab’s seat.
May Yahweh repay you, wings spread wide,
You’ve sought His refuge, in Him you’ll abide. [Hook – Chorus, gentle folk-gospel lift] From famine’s emptiness to fields of grace,
Love begins in the simplest place.
Grain by grain, a story is sown,
In gleaning fields, redemption is grown. [Outro – FEMALE VOICE Naomi (aside), prophetic undertone] His kindness is covenant, this man Boaz…
Could he be the kinsman to change our cause?
