Peace on Earth-Luke 2.12-14

Intro The night was still, the stars were bright, God's promise whispered through the night. Heaven opened, fear gave way, Jesus was born that holy day. Verse 1 In fields where quiet shepherds stayed, A brilliant light broke through the shade. An angel's voice with joy proclaimed, "The Savior comes in God's own name." A humble child in swaddling clothes, Where heaven's endless mercy flowed. No throne of gold, no royal hall, Yet King of kings had come for all. Pre-Chorus When hope seemed far beyond our sight, God filled the darkness with His light. Chorus Peace on earth, let every heart believe, Grace has come for all who will receive. Glory in the highest, heaven sings, Jesus Christ, our Savior and our King. From a manger shines eternal worth, Christ has come to bring us peace on earth. Verse 2 The angels filled the midnight sky, Their praises echoed strong and high. "Glory to our God above, His favor rests on those He loves." The world still longs for lasting peace, For fear and sorrow both to cease. Yet every soul can find new birth, Where Christ brings heaven here to earth. Bridge Prince of Peace, forever reign, Heal our hearts and break our chains. Every nation, every tongue, Join the everlasting song. Lord, Your light still shines, Your hope remains, Yesterday, today the same. Till every knee and heart proclaim, Jesus is Your holy name. Final Chorus Peace on earth, let every heart believe, Love has come for all who will receive. Glory in the highest, heaven sings, Jesus Christ, our Savior and our King. From the cross to victory's dawn, His endless love keeps leading on. Until the day all wars shall cease, We'll lift our voices—Prince of Peace. Outro Glory to God in the highest, Peace on earth forevermore.
