Twilight

First off the first half of this lyric is a poem I wrote in 1985 to impress a boy. Yep, you got that right. This guy who was "the silicon matchmaker" of Matchmaker.com taught me to write poetry and gave me the hunger. We dated briefly, but we are lifelong friends. Richard can write a poem on the fly on any subject in his head and say it to you. He started writing young, and now he can just spout poems. He did this to impress me and well... as you can see it stuck. So I wrote him the beginning of this song. ( But hint here, just keep writing and eventually they write themselves!) So then the second half of this song? It was created here on Suno I realized that the original poem needed context, to be longer and completion. What was the point of the poem. And so I realized that the rise of the purple in the day was a measurement of time. And a visual marker to our life moving forward but also slipping away. And so I wrote the rest of the lyric to reflect that. And so the lyric became its poetic self. I first published this song on Suno 9-7-24 and it is included in my first album The Alchemy of Life. Recently with the release of V4 on Suno I have been going back through my old catalog and updating those songs, with grander music, with a younger hipper vibe and shooting for a more commercial and current sound. ( oh no's). Yes my point is to make music people like and release it to the many. And not just Suno but beyond.
