Life as we know it is easy to take for granted But one day you may realize that you have ended up in deep water Dark clouds overhead Icy water around your body and no land in sight But no matter how hard you try to look around you only see high cold waves and dark clouds The life you thought it was turned out to be an illusion Not a vision I've been there Today I know better The answer is inside me, there I know That's where I live In myself The only one I can trust is myself What I do is up to me I make my choices On principles I have learned Being honest with yourself is most important To follow your heart and trust your gut feeling Sure, it can go wrong sometimes But the life I have been given is my responsibility My responsibility to myself and to those around me who I love
