Lost in the Sunsets

[Verse 1] Sand in my shoes Phone on airplane You laugh at a joke That I never quite explain Your hair in the wind Salt on your skin We’re talking like kids Like the world can’t get in [Chorus] We get lost in the sunsets Colors spilling over our heads You say "don’t forget this" Like we ever could Like we ever could We get lost in the sunsets Time slips Slipping off the edge If this is all we get Let it burn Let it burn For good (oh yeah) [Verse 2] Plastic beach chair Half-melted drink You trace constellations On my arm in pink ink Plans on a napkin Folded Then gone We’re skipping the endings Just staying in the dawn [Chorus] We get lost in the sunsets Colors spilling over our heads You say "don’t forget this" Like we ever could Like we ever could We get lost in the sunsets Time slips Slipping off the edge If this is all we get Let it burn Let it burn For good
