[Intro] [Ambient Synth Section] [Verse 1] Before the first wound — dark was already here No origin — no edge — no atmosphere The cold existed — prior to the name The darkness needed nothing — still the same Stone remembers — what no mind can hold A silence older — than the concept cold I did not enter darkness — darkness stayed While everything around it — briefly — played [Tremolo Drone Wall] [Verse 2] No god preceded it — no will — no word The darkness was the first and only heard What light arrives — arrives as temporary guest The dark receives — and waits — and does the rest I stood inside the forest — felt the truth That I had always been here — without proof The self dissolves — the darkness stays entire No beginning — no end — no need — no fire [Dark Ambient Passage] [Verse 3] Where does the darkness start — it does not start It simply — always — occupied this part Of everything — before the word for space The dark requires — neither time — nor place (before) (always before) (no beginning) (only this) [Outro]
