The Scarecrow and The Perfect Brick

V5.5

[Intro – Dark Orchestra / Whispering Voices] (Whispers in the shadows) Are you afraid of the night? Are you afraid of the light? Are you afraid of what you see... Or what you think might be? [Verse 1] The Scarecrow walked through Gotham streets, With a nightmare hidden beneath his feet. A cloud of fear, a ghost unseen, The darkest thing the city had ever seen. From the underground to downtown lights, From the old to young, from wrong to right. Rich or poor, it didn't matter who... Fear was the weapon he pushed through. [Pre-Chorus] Uptown buildings, towers high, Wayne Enterprises reaching for the sky. Every window, every door... The city wasn't safe anymore. [Chorus] Afraid of the sun, afraid of the dark, Afraid of a shadow in the park. Afraid of the mirror staring back, Afraid of the things you can't unpack. Afraid of the tree about to fall, Afraid of the footsteps down the hall. The Scarecrow laughed, (maniacal laughter) hahahah "Now you see..." Fear belongs to me. [Verse 2] Batman fought through the poison air, Robin said, "We need to prepare." The gas was everywhere they turned, A lesson only villains learn. They retreated deep beneath the ground, Where no fear cloud could be found. The Batcave doors locked tight... Until Alfred walked into sight. [Bridge – Comedic Rock Break] Alfred had his glasses on, Working through the early dawn. Piece by piece, he built with pride, His favorite LEGO masterpiece inside. The Titanic stood upon the table, Every brick was strong and stable. Batman asked, (Batman heoric baritone) "Alfred, are you sure?" Alfred said, (Male British Accent) "Master Bruce... it's perfect. Every piece is accounted for." [Heavy Chorus] The Scarecrow saw it sitting there, A perfect ship beyond repair. No missing piece, no hidden flaw, No mystery left for him to solve. His mind began to twist and break, A fear he never thought he'd face. "Where is the brick? Where is the clue?" "Batman... there has to be two!" [Final Verse] He searched the cave from wall to wall, Looking for the brick that wasn't there at all. The greatest fear he couldn't outrun... Was a LEGO set that was actually done. Batman walked in, Robin smiled, (male hero voice) "Looks like fear finally lost its trial." The Scarecrow shook, his plan undone... Defeated by perfection. [Final Chorus] No fear gas, no dark disguise, Could hide the truth behind his eyes. The thing that haunted him the most... Was a LEGO ship without a ghost. The city sleeps, the night moves on, Another villain's power gone. And Alfred smiles beneath the light... (Male British Accent) "Master Bruce, I finished it right." [Outro – Whispered] But somewhere deep inside the cave... One LEGO box remains unopened.
