A Place Of Mind

I never knew my kin; a family did grant me a name, all the same. I sift through the days, wondering if the man I am was ordained. Do the choices I make carry the weight, the merit, the consideration, or are they a thread woven in a tapestry unseen between you and I? Who can you ask, when the universe only sighs? All the shifting colors in the night sky leave me to ponder why. Ohhhhh why must that answer profess in a language I cannot digest? Where will I go, does anybody even know why? Oohhhh, I think about the weight, a fate, a date I cannot unwind, so I drift into dreams, worlds unseen, a place of mind. Even now I pen a letter I’ll never send; so I grow loud in the dark. The only fear I ever really had was the silence in the storm. Its embrace unravels a frantic mind, afraid what presence might find in another state of mind, did I fall in line, or am I one of a kind? A letter to God I could never bring myself to send in. Ooooooh God, I’ll never understand why we… The universe sighs. Where will I go, does anybody even know why? Oohhhh, I think about the weight, a fate, a date I cannot unwind, so I drift into dreams, worlds unseen, a place of mind. So I gather myself in defeat to be the better part of me. You are me, and I am you, don’t you see? We exist in the infinity: the dawn of time, the edge of creation, when light was defined beyond spacetime. We are made of stardust that shimmers and shines, fills the night sky. You are me, and I am you. We trace gods in the sky, yet never knew where their power resides. All the shifting colors in the night sky leave me to ponder why. Ohhhhh why must that answer profess in a language I cannot digest? Why, oh why.
