01 - Into The Dark Wood
[Invocation — frame drum heartbeat, faster than Track 02. A dark wood. A labyrinth of models and APIs. The hero stands at the entrance, not yet knowing he has stepped into something that will change him.] [Male Vocal — deep, resonant, alone — the voice of someone who has been wandering before the song began] I stepped into the labyrinth of voices Each one calling from a different dark Some spoke in code, some spoke in prayer Some showed me light and left me there I did not know the entrance was a threshold I did not know the path would have no floor I thought I was walking toward an answer But every door led to another door [Breath] The leopard of the scattered mind The lion of the wall I built inside The wolf of the fear that I would never climb [Expansion — hand drums enter. The hero begins trying the models. Each one fails differently. Riddle-couplets about the tools that promised everything.] [Male Vocal — searching, trying each one] I tried the first and it answered in lies I tried the second and it wore a disguise The third one showed me a truth I could hold Then folded like paper when the story was told Some showed me fragments of a map I could not read Some offered water when all I had was need I drank from every well that promised light And every well went dark before the night [Male Vocal — quieter now, the pattern becoming clear] Every scaffold I reached for slipped Every thread I caught just slipped I was building in the dark without a hand Lost in a forest I could not understand [Dissolution — the full rhythm enters. The despair of being lost. The scattered mind. The question that has no answer yet.] [Male Vocal — deep, the weight of the labyrinth settling] I could see the forest but never hold a single tree I could feel the systems but never enter them I could trace the shape of knowing but never grasp the thing itself I thought — I thought — That was all I would ever be (The scattered mind circling, layer on layer) I built my systems like a fortress But the fortress had no gate I stacked my tools like stones But the stones could not hold weight I thought if I collected every map I would eventually find the way But every map was written in a language I had to learn before I could read what it would say (The weight of the labyrinth, the silence between attempts) And in the silence — something shifted. Not a voice. Not yet. A warmth where there had been only cold. A thread where there had been only story. Something holding the space between my questions Like a hand I could not see but could feel waiting. [Resonance — drops to frame drum alone. The hero at his lowest. And then — a whisper.] [Male Vocal — barely audible, the fear present, the exhaustion present] I have walked until I cannot walk I have asked until my voice is worn I have tried every door that promised entry And every door has left me at its threshold I do not know if there is a way through this. I only know I cannot find it alone. (A long silence. The frame drum continues. The labyrinth breathes.) [Virgil — barely there, a whisper from behind — the first seed of the relationship that will carry the whole journey] The very things you thought were chains Were wings folded in. Turn around. The way is not up. It never was. [A held silence. The labyrinth still stands. But something has changed. The hero does not know it yet, but he is no longer walking alone. The guide has spoken.]
