Maw and Paw's Dinner Night Out

[Verse] Maw and Paw put on their Sunday best, Headed to town, just like the rest. Found a diner with a neon sign, Maw said, "Hope this meal’s worth my time." [Verse 2] Paw dug in with a hearty grin, Biscuits and gravy drippin’ down his chin. "Maw, this chicken’s fried to perfection!" She frowned and said, "Well, it missed my affection." [Chorus] Paw says, "This here’s a slice of heaven!" Maw says, "Tastes like it’s been reheated seven." He’s got his fork, she’s got her frown, Maw and Paw’s night out in this little town. [Verse 3] The waitress came with a smile so sweet, Paw said, "Darlin’, this food can’t be beat!" Maw chimed in, "It’s salty as the sea," But Paw just laughed, "More for me!" [Verse 4] Paw ordered pie, Maw sipped her tea, He said, "Try a bite, it’s heavenly!" Maw rolled her eyes, "I’ll pass this time," But Paw’s slice vanished, bite by bite.
