the alarm goes off at the crack of dawn I have the time to get dressed and get a good buzz on I feel like hell and my bones ache, sometimes the pain is more than i can take but It don't matter how bad i feel cause feeling bad never paid the bills I just suck it up and put on this fake ass grin I know in the morning when that alarm goes off I have to get up and do it again........ [Chorus] It sure don't feel right but it's my way of life, living with the struggles where the money's always tight There's not much I can do i just keep up the fight you can't take it easy, and it sure don't ever feel nice, but this is what it's like living in this blue-collar paradise....... [2nd verse] You bust your ass, every day, because the bills always come that almost don't get paid You work so hard, but you still get stay poor the stress keeps pilling high on your mind, but you have to make room so you can pile some more This life is a struggle, and that's just the bitter pill all you can do is hope that tomorrow will offer you a better deal But that's not the way things work out for me and i know they never will..... [Guitar solo] [3rd verse] You get to work for people who have it made in the shade, and you can only wish, that you could make the money that they make But all you get is a farmer tan and some chump change take-home pay, it doesn't do no good to bitch and complain because you never had that kind of shade [hook] "oooh" [Bridge] it sure would be so dam nice chill;n on a beach sipping tropical drinks on ice, while I'm working on my tan at some fancy paradise getaway but things can't be that nice when you're living a blue-collar way of life because it comes with a different kind of paradise.... [Chorus] It don't seem right but that's my way of life, living with the struggles where the money's always tight There ain't a dam thing you can do, you can try with all your might, but nothing is gonna come easy and it sure the hell won't feel nice but this is what it's like living in a blue-collar paradise.......
